Today we had a quick breakfast and then went to the beach we did not really had time to enjoy the night before. It was beautiful, even though it was cold. If the wind had not been it would have been nice and warm, just right. Oh well. We then went off on our way to explore which side roads we could actually take along the South Coast Road. There were not that many.

We meant to stop at the Rustic Blue Gallery & Cafe but they were not open between Thursdays and Sundays, well it was Tuesdays. Oh well, next on the list we decided on the evening before, was Kelly Hills Caves and we thought about doing a guided tour. Well, then we read it was an “adventurous” tour and the depth we had to climb down and all and decided against it. Both of us thought it, but neither wanted to say to the other that we didn’t want to do it J, hahaha. But then I said to Mom that we had already done so much in terms of heights and stuff and should we maybe skip this one? God she was sooooo glad I said it. So we just took a little walk and tried to find all the animals there are to be found. Well since we did not see any, or many, we went off to take the Koala Walk. We paid the entrance as we paid the camping the night before, it was cute. And then we got to see what we wanted: Koala’s, Wallabies, Cockatoos, Kookaburra, & parrots. Yeah!!!
Neighbours/Nachbarn |
Then we went off to Cape du Couedic, the only Cape we could go to on a sealed road. After a little stroll, we went down to Admirals Arch with its furred Seals. They were, just like the day before the sealions, laying around pretty lazy. The last stop for this day was the Remarkable Rocks which were – pretty remarkable. J We had fun taking pictures before we took the very long road back to the camping ground for the second night (you know the one we already passed the first day...).
On the way there Mom suddenly yelled „Stop“ . I was a bit shocked and obviously wanted to know why she was screaming. She wanted me to back up the car a bit and toll me that she saw an Echidna. I have to add at this point that one does not see them often during the day and for me the Echidna was on the top of my list. So I followed – into the bushes. At some point I could not go any further and it did not want to come out. Oh well, at least I saw one live. The camping ground was great too, especially because our neighbours were Koalas and Kookaburras.

Well since we did not see any, or many, we went off to take the Koala Walk. And then we got to see what we wanted: Koala’s, Wallabies, Cockatoos, Kookaburra’s & Papgeien. Yippie!!!
