Horrocks to Shark Bay via Kalbarri National Park 23.8.2011

It was an early start today with breakfast at 6am. Then we went off to Kalbarri National Park to do some hiking. We went to the Murchinson Gorge where some of us did abseiling while we waited and then went to explore the Gorge. Mick the tour guide and driver had to take a group picture. He had lots to do.

Funnily enough we met a tour with elderly people and the tour guide seemed vaguely familiar. Turned out they actually stayed at the Roadhouse within my last week!!! The world is a small place. So we wished each other a great trip and happy vacation. So funny!!!

Afterwards we went to a look out where you could see the whole of the Gorge which was beautiful. And everything is so green and with lots of flowers. So the landscape was really nice as well. Then we had burgers for lunch and off we went towards shark Bay. We have to do a lot of driving within this tour, so we spent the next hours on the bus. We stopped at Billabong Roadhouse which reminded me of Renner, it was cute. We got into sharks Bay after dark, so we could not go to the shell beach but we will do that tomorrow.

Heute war es ein frueher start in den Tag mit Fruehstueck um 6Uhr. Dann sind wir in den Kalbarri National Park um ein wenig zu wander. Wir sind um Munchison Gorge gelaufen durch Felden und dann zur Schlucht wo einige von uns sich an der Felsenwand abseilen liessen. Also warteteten wir auf sie und haben uns dann die Schlucht angesehen. Mick unser tour guide und Busfahrer hat auch einige Gruppenbilder gemacht. Er hatte bei 18 Leuten viel zu tun.

Dann hatte ich auch eine lustige Begegnung. Wir haben ein paar aeltere Leute getroffen und der Tour guide sah irgendwie  so aus als haette ich sie schon mal getroffen. Dann haben wir uns unterhalten und es kam raus, dass die gleiche Gruppe im Roadhouse in meiner letzten Woche im Roadhouse uebernachtet!!! Die Welt ist klein!! Also haben wir uns eine gute Reise und noch schoene Reise gewuenscht. So lustig!

Danach zind wir zu einem Ausguck gelaufen wo man die ganze schlucht sehen konnte was wunderschoen war. Und alles ist so gruen und mit vielen Blumen.  Die Landschaft ist auch so toll. Dann hatten wir Burger zum Mittagessen und dann gings ab Richtung Shark  Bay. In dieser Tour haben iwr viel zu fahren, also haben wir die naechsten Stunden im Bus verbracht. Wir haben im Billabong Roadhouse gestoppt und es hat mich so an Renner Springs erinnert, es war so suess. 

Wir sind nach Sonnenuntergang in Sharks Bay angekommen, also konnten wir auch nicht zum Sonnenuntergang an der Shell Bucht  fahren, aber woollen das morgen machen fuer den Sonnenaufgang.
