All the good things - Alle guten Sachen

The weekend has come and gone and it was great. We went camping at Corduras in PA and had a nice relaxing weekend with lots of sunshine. Packing up the essentials, like cooker, grill and getting the kayaks onto the cars took a while.

Gina, Brian and Ron also still had to work that day and I went to help Nan, the neighhbour go shopping. We left about 3pm, met up at a Walmart to go food shopping and then headed to the camping grounds. The trip was kind of funny as I went to Manchester and Hannover, makes me laugh every time.

We also had to get fishing licenses and it was a bit confusing for them to get me a license as I am not an American citizen and I do not have a social security card. It took us a while, but I was eager to have it so Brian could teach me how to fish. On more thing on my list that I wanted to do before I moved on to Australia.

Brian and Ron do fly fishing, however as this is too complicated for a newie (so I was told) Brian bought me a fishing rod he thought suitable for me and taught me. Me not being very patient, tried really hard. More to this later on.

After filling out all the paperwork and getting our spot, we set up our tents and started cooking. Obviously we forgot half of the things we needed and we went back and forth to the little shop they had to get the rest. Chrissie and Ryan arrived later on that night and we all had dinner together. Afterwards it was just sitting around the fire, relaxing and as we had an early start the next day we settled down pretty early.

Mein letztes Wochenende mit Gina und Brian und dem Rest war toll. Einfach nur schoen mit viel Sonnenschein. Erst hiess es Sachen und Autos packen, inklusive Kayaks aufladen.



Brian, Gina und Ron mussten Freitag noch arbeiten und ich habe Nan, die Nachbarin zum Einkaufen mitgenommen. Also sind wir erst so gegen 15Uhr losgefahren. Zelten war in Corduras, Pensylvania, also hat es nicht lange gedauert. Und wir sind mal wieder in Europa unterwegs gewesen, d.h. wir sind durch Manchester und Hannover gefahren. Wir haben uns bei einem Walmart getroffen um das Essen einzukaufen und die Fischlizens zu bekommen. Es gab noch eine Sache die ich lernen wollte und das war fischen. Also hat brian mir eine Angel und ein paar Hacken gekauft und natuerlich brauchte ich auch eine Lizens zum Fischen. Es war ziemlich lustig, da sie noch nie jemanden hatten, der nicht-Amerikaner war und soomit war es etwas mehr kompliziert als gedacht. Es hat im Ganzen laenger gedauert als Gina's Einkauf bis wir fertig waren. Ich habe nicht viel Geduld und beim Fischen ist alles etwas langsamer, aber ich habe mich bemueht.

Nachdem wir dann endlich am Zeltplatz ankamen, alle Papiere ausfuellten und Zelte aufgebaut haben, haben wir mit kochen angefangen. Natuerlich haben wir einige Sachen vergessen und brauchten auch noch Feuerholz, sind wir abwechselnd in den kleinen Laden gefahren und haben alles was wir brauchten noch geholt. Am Ende des Abends kannten uns alle :).


Da wir am Samstag frueh aufstehen mussten, sind wir nicht lange aufgeblieben, sondern haben gemuetlich beim Feuer gesessen und gequatscht.
