Relaxing weekend / entspanntes Wochenende

This weekend was more a relaxing kind of thing, which was great. Friday evening we went to a little festival where they play live music and there are booths with food.

We met a couple with this adoring and fluffy dog and wanted to take it home, but
 we did not think they would let us. So we just took it in turns to hold the dog for them so they would have dinner.




A great way to start a Saturday is with Starbucks coffee. Then, Gina took me and Ashley to get a pedicure and for shopping. As Ashley just moved to her new apartment she needed food. And Gina loves food shopping.

Gina and Brian had dinner out, so Ron was cooking for us and we had dinner at Nan's, the neighbour. Afterwards John and Stacey came to hang out as well and everyone just kind of fell asleep on one of the couches in the house.

Sunday, Gina, Brian, Ron and I had a nice breakfast and then went on a little Road trip for shopping. Kind of tempting for me as the clothes are inexpensive, but I cannot afford to carry more clothes. It was more for the rest of them and our camping trip this weekend as well as steak knives for Gina.

I have always been amazed at the size of some of the shopping centres you can find in the US; this store was simply massive, with an aquarium, climbing wall and any other kind of stuff you would never imagine to be in a store.



It was great fun. And then we went shopping for dinner, had dinner with Elizabeth, John and Ashley and settled in for a movie. All in all a total relaxing weekend!!!!

Dieses Wochenende war wirklich mal ein schoenes, entspanntes Wochenende. Freitag Abend waren wir bei einem kleinen Festival mit live Musik und Essens Staenden. Wir haben ein Ehepaar getroffen, die einen kleinen, kuscheligen Hund dabei hatten und kurz ueberlegt ob wir den einpacken und mitnehmen. Naja, wir dachten, es wuerde den beiden eventuell nicht passen, also haben wir den Hund fuer sie gehalten, soo dass die beiden essen konnten.

Es gibt keinen besseren Weg als den Samstag mit Starbucks Kaffee zu beginnen. Danach hat Gina, ashley und mich zu einer tollen Pedikuere mitgenommen und wir waren anschliessend einkaufen. Ashley ist gerade umgezogen und brauchte Essen und Gina ist die Perfektion schlechthin wenn es um so etwas geht.


Da Gina und Brian abends ausserhalb gegessen haben, hat Ron gekocht. Amy und Brian waren auch da und wir sind mit samt Essen zu Nan, der Nachbarin gegangen und haben es uns dort gemuelich gemacht.

Danach kamen dann auch noch Stacey und John und es wurde schoen beieinander gesessen bis Gina und Brian wieder da waren.

Sonntag waren wir dann; nach einem tollen grossen Fruehstueck; einkaufen. Die Groesse mancher Geschaefte in den USa hat mich ja schon immer fasziniert, aber so was grosses habe ich lange nicht gesehen!!! Wer baut schon einen Wasserfall, eine Kletterwand oder haengt ein Flugzeug in ein Geschaeft???

Brian und Ron hatten es sich bei den Angler Utensilien gemuetlich gemacht waehrend Gina und ich nach Sachen fuer unser Camping Wochenende gesucht haben. Natuerlich ist es verlockend wenn man all die schoenen Sachen sieht. Aber ich hab ja nicht soviel Platz, also gibt es auch nur das mindeste was man wirklich braucht.

Am I being followed? / Werde ich verfolgt?

Danach hat sich Gina noch ein paar neue Steak Messer gekauft und wir waren noch fuer das Abendessen einkaufen. John, Elizabeth und Ashley waren auch da, also gemuetliches beisammensein.

Den Abend und das Wochenende haben wir mit einem Film ausklingen lassen. Noch eine Woche und dann heisst es Abschied nehmen und weiter gehts nach San Francisco. Ich freue mich schon darauf, aber werde das Chaos-Haus- Gina und Brian schon vermissen.
